CPAP, Homecare and Portable Critical Care Ventilators

CPAP, Homecare and Portable Critical Care Ventilators

In the wake of COVID, an increasing number of patients have developed permanent lung disease, and some have required long-term respiratory support outside the hospital. Three types of devices with similar capabilities are available to treat these patients:

Dedicated CPAP devices (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) help patients at home who suffer from sleep apnea at night. The airways are kept open by a continuous flow of air.

Homecare ventilators are designed to provide continuous ventilation support to patients during inspiration and expiration.

The flexibility of homecare ventilators broadens its use towards both directions: sub-acute settings and sleep apnea.

Portable critical care ventilators for ambulance services are compact, easy to operate and can also be used in lower acuity settings.
